Course Registration

The path to pursuing the SFR® certification is straightforward. Simply follow these four steps:

  1. Be a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®
    • Have an active membership with NAR/Local Association
    • Don’t know your NRDS number? You can look it up here. Need more help? Contact us.
  2. Complete ONE of the following qualifying core courses:
    • REBAC’s Short Sales and Foreclosures Course: What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know
    • CRS 111 Short Sales and Foreclosures: Protecting Your Client’s Interests
      • Available online for $175 at REALTOR® University
      • Available in classroom, one-day in length.  Search providers at CRS.com - cost varies by provider
    • CRS 112 Guiding the Buyer in the Distressed Property Market
      • Available in classroom only – find courses at CRS.com
  3. Complete ONE of the following qualifying electives:
    • Webinars: View three, one-hour Webinars, free of charge
    • HAFA Short Sales – U.S. Treasury, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac Programs Course: One-day, classroom only. Find course availability at training4re.com
    • REO Properties – Responsibilities, Education, and Opportunities for Real Estate Professional: One-day, classroom only.  Find course availability at training4re.com
  4. Complete the certification application on this site: Get certified now for SFR
